Donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation - Stephanie N
Earlier this year, Brendan Boyle, General Sales Manager of Ciocca Subaru of Pleasantville, reached out to Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey with the desire to make a difference in the life of a child. With a personal tie to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Brendan knew the difference a large donation could make in granting the wish of a critically ill child in New Jersey. After meeting with Michael Dominick, Assistant Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Alliances for the Make-A-Wish Foundation New Jersey, Brendan learned that a $10,000 donation would grant a travel wish. Instantly, Brendan knew that this goal was achievable with the help of a few of his friends. With that, Brendan started calling the other Ciocca owned dealerships in the state of New Jersey. First to sign on was Seth Rosen, General Sales Manager of Ciocca Subaru Ewing, with a $2,500 donation. Then Brendan rolled down the street to Ciocca Subaru of Pleasantville’s closest neighbors, Ciocca Chevy Buick GMC and Ciocca Cadillac where he was able to secure $2,500 from each of those dealerships with Dan Maida’s, General Manager of the Atlantic City campus, blessing. Happy to share the news, Brendan reached back out to Michael Dominick to let him know he had collected the $10,000 to grant a travel wish. Michael was beyond thrilled and went about scheduling a check presentation at Ciocca Subaru of Pleasantville. Michael also shared with Brendan that at the check presentation he would reveal who’s wish Ciocca’s donation was granting. On, Wednesday, November 9, Brendan Boyle and Dan Maida presented the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey a $10,000 check from Ciocca Dealerships. At that time they learned that the donation would go to grant the wish of a eight year old New Jersey boy who wants to go to Disney World and Universal Studios. Thanks to Brendan’s hard work and his friends at Ciocca Dealerships, this child’s wish will be granted in early December!

Bunny Rescue! - Stephanie N
While leaving the dealership one evening, General Sales Manager Brendan Boyle noticed a baby bunny outside the front door. As Brendan walked away, the bunny started to follow him to his car. Observing how small the bunny was and that there was no mother in site, Brendan decided to put the bunny in box and bring it to an animal shelter. Unfortunately, at that time of night, no shelter was open for him to drop the bunny off. So, the bunny went home with Brendan for the night! The following morning as Brendan arrived at work, a second baby bunny was outside the front door of the dealership. Thinking that this bunny must be the sibling to the first bunny, Brendan scooped the bunny up and put it in the box. Later that day, Brendan was able to safely deliver the bunnies to an animal hospital where the bunnies will be checked over and eventually released back into the wild.
